I Am Looking For
I'd like to meet local writers (central PA) IRL but am always open to meeting new people with common interests. In terms of agents, I'm looking for a reputable agent who represents writers whose work is similar to mine. When I research agents, I read the client lists and read excerpts from those writers before sending my query. I query selectively and I hope that the agents I query are equally selective in what they choose to represent.
My Preferences
When I get the free time, I head straight to Agent Query to research agents and agencies. I have two small children so that free time is sparse. I think that AQ Connect will be a useful tool for me to use given my time constraints.
