I mostly write science fiction and fantasy. Previously I've mainly written short stories and articles (mostly about writing). I've started two novels before, but I didn't like the direction they were going, so I scrapped them (actually, they're on the backburner until I can decide what I want to do with them). Two years ago I came up with the idea for the novel I'm currently working on, Shadow Stalker, and so far so good... I'm in love with the story, so I'm sticking with it. I Am Looking For
I'm currently researching literary agencies to represent my novel, Shadow Stalker, which is still a work in progress. I would love to meet agents, editors, publishers and seasoned authors who can offer me suggestions and advice on how to proceed in the industry. I'd also love to connect with other writers/authors interested in swapping critiques of our work.
My Preferences
Well until I know more about it, I'll have to say I mainly plan to use it to meet others in the industry and learn as much as I can so that I can get my novel published.

The Persistence of Mediocrity
I haven't done that with a best seller so much, but I do recall reading one book once that seemed to have spelling and grammar errors on every other page. No exaggeration. It was pretty pathetic. I mean... more...

rude comments when they find out you are a writer?
I've never had that problem. Anytime someone asks and I tell them I'm a writer, they think it's cool and ask me if they can have my autograph when I get published. I've never had any negative reactions to it.

Top 10 books of 2009
Damn I never heard of any of them either. And how can they know what the top books for the year are when the year isn't even over?
