About Me
With a varied career thus far in finance, I have set out to write works based on each of my places of employment. Using (numerous) actual events for my books, I fashion a loosely-based account and then fictionalize it somewhat to add person's thoughts (third person omniscient) and additional details as related to me.
My first book is based on my experience (a 2-year odyssey of sorts) as one of the few white people with securities experience in an Indian bank trying to establish a brokerage firm in Canada. I add considerable back-story and character information that gives readers a good view of the main characters.
My next book will be based in Seoul, Korea, where I worked (seemingly as the lone Canadian not teaching English) at a hedge fund distribution company. Again, all Korean with me as the sole wei-gook. My wife is Korean, which will allow many cultural references to be made, drawn upon and used to enhance the story.
I Am Looking For
I'd like more insight into how to write better/well and get published with the best house possible.
My Preferences
To write better, connect with other authors, get agented and published.
