I am currently looking for a dynamic agent to represent my latest book, an historical novel called Blood Sprang from the Earth. It is about a young girl who was the only-recorded survivor of a major massacre during the Holocaust.
Told in the first person when she is an adult, the book chronicles life in Poland and Russia during the interwar period -- a time of great political, social, and literary ferment, culminating in the destruction of a once-flourishing people and their inspirational way of life. Against this backdrop, the main character faces anti-Semitism in public school, moves in with her charming aunt who runs a boardinghouse in the bustling city of Brest, and befriends a wide circle of young adults caught in the throes of romance, friendship, and familial responsibilities. Hers is a rich and loving world, punctuated by intellectual and moral discovery.
